Condemnation Statement by the Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh!

Bangladesh International Myanmar

We, the peaceful and long-suffering Rohingya refugees living in the camps of Cox’s Bazar, strongly condemn the recent misleading and harmful report by the International Crisis Group.

This report falsely portrays our community as involved in armed activities and paints a distorted picture of our desperate struggle for justice, dignity, and safe repatriation to our homeland in Myanmar. These baseless allegations are not only deeply irresponsible, but also endanger the safety of innocent refugees who are already living under severe restrictions and inhumane conditions.

We reject the accusation that Rohingya refugees are joining armed groups or promoting violence. The majority of our community stands firmly for a peaceful resolution and voluntary repatriation with dignity, safety, and citizenship rights.

We will not accept any form of misinformation, bias, or propaganda from any source—whether national or international. We want proof of all the reports portrayed by the ICG. We won’t receive any propaganda from any sources.

We are deeply concerned that the International Crisis Group appears to be echoing the narrative of the Terrorist Arakan Army, A group responsible for widespread atrocities, displacement, and violence against the Rohingya and other ethnic minorities in Rakhine State. By doing so, they are not helping the Rohingya cause – they are damaging it.

Instead of spreading dangerous misinformation, We call on the International Crisis Group and all stakeholders to:

  • Advocate for genuine and safe repatriation to Myanmar.
  • Support Rohingya voices and leadership.
  • Condemn all forms of violence – including those committed by the Terrorist Arakan Army.

We urge the International Community not to be misled by biased narratives and to stand firmly with the Rohingya in our peaceful struggle for justice and restoration of our fundamental rights.
