A representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has strongly warned against the ongoing persecution and hardships faced by Rohingya Muslims and other minority groups, emphasizing that humanity and compassion are of utmost importance.
The IOM representative also highlighted at the UN General Assembly that coordination among international organizations and governments is crucial to protect the safety, dignity, and rights of migrants.
The statement reaffirmed IOM’s commitment to implementing humanitarian assistance, supporting refugees, and promoting safe and sustainable solutions.
IOM further stressed its continued efforts to foster solidarity, provide protection, and ensure long-term support for the Rohingya people.
